With 20% of proceeds going towards BBC Children in Need, this auction also serves to raise funds to help BBC Studios reinvest in the storage and preservation of thousands of historic Doctor Who props and costumes, ensuring the show’s heritage is protected for future generations.

There are over 300 lots of costumes and props available in the Propstore auction; but we have picked just a handful of items from the catalog from across the eras of Whoniversal history to explore in detail…

Lot 1: Screen-matched 'Eve of the Daleks' TARDIS
The 'Eve of the Daleks' TARDIS on set with Mandip GIll, John Bishop and Jodie Whittaker.

A malfunctioning TARDIS causes the Doctor and her friends to spend New Year’s Eve trapped in a time loop, with some particularly nasty Daleks! Stuck in ‘Repair Mode’ following the events of the Flux, the TARDIS sports some ominous glowing red cracks on its police box exterior as it works to repair the unfathomable ship within.

This unique TARDIS prop from Eve of the Daleks is full-sized, made primarily of wood, and set up within the interior with red translucent acrylic and a wired light stick to achieve the glowing effect of the cracks.

The Fourteenth Doctor may share a face with one of his earlier counterparts, but his hardware is one of a kind! The sonic screwdriver that was created for the 60th Anniversary Specials takes some design inspiration from some of the Doctor’s previous devices, but boasts some unique features such as the creation of hard-light constructs and interfaces.

While this auction item isn’t quite the Doctor’s real screwdriver (that one’s currently being kept safe in the Black Archive), this blue 3D-printed resin prop was made for David Tennant from the same digital model as the final props, to use during the rehearsal stage of producing the specials.

Reborn on a parallel Earth in 2006’s Rise of the Cybermen, this iteration of the Doctor’s long-time foes bore a dynamic new design for the era, featuring a chestplate with the branding of Cybus Industries.

This static model Cyberman has lived a previous life haunting fans as an exhibition piece, at the former Doctor Who Experience. Based on the costumes of the series, this light-up model is made of fibreglass, foam and rubber, and stands just over six feet tall (189cm) on its affixed base.

As well as having an outfit for every occasion, the Fifteenth Doctor is also known to accessorise his sonic screwdriver to match! This particular model from the 2024 Christmas special Joy to the World has a unique iridescent two-toned red-green finish, for saving the world with some festive flair.

This screen-matched prop is made of resin and is fully poseable, with working lights at the press of a button. But if getting your hands on a bona fide prop sonic doesn’t work out, the deluxe replica with sound effects is still available from Character Toys!

Even as a UNIT field agent, Mel Bush doesn’t opt for subtlety – as she zips around London on an appropriately carrot-coloured Vespa! This signature vehicle was crucial to Mel and the Doctor’s escape from Sutekh’s Dust of Death in Season 1 finale Empire of Death; plus it made a brief return in Season 2 finale The Reality War.

While there are many unique props and costumes available in the auction, not many can claim to be a road-legal vehicle! This Vespa moped comes with full registration plus the dummy license plate that appears onscreen. And if you do plan on taking this prop on the road, stay safe with Mel and the Doctor’s white helmets, which are also included.

Donna Noble has been saved!” The expansive Library planet (of Silence in the Library fame) can be navigated with the aid of these helpful intelligent Courtesy Nodes, which speak to the inquirer with a donated (or acquired) human face from the Library’s memory bank.

This 130cm tall resin prop from the Series 4 two-parter is designed to resemble a stone sculpture, supported by a metal pole through the middle. While it may not come with a pre-installed face, this prop will certainly make for a conversational piece of decoration in anyone’s home!

These two separate lots contain three shirts from the stag party scene of The Vampires in Venice in an assortment of styles, ranging between Medium and Large in size. Each has “Rory’s Stag” and a unique football shirt-style number emblazoned on the back.

Bow ties are cool, anniversary specials are cool; so it stands to reason that this particular accessory of the Eleventh Doctor might be the coolest of all!

Matched to Matt Smith’s signature costume piece for both The Day of the Doctor and 2013 Christmas special The Time of the Doctor, this pair of purple bow ties with white polka dots come in both a pre-tied clip-on and traditional untied version of the accessory. Perfect for recreating that heart-wrenching bow tie drop from the Doctor’s regeneration…

Lot 215: Set of Three Hero, Practical and Stunt Karvanista (Craige Els) Axes
Karvanista (Craige Els) with his signature Lupari axe (in folded mode) in 'The Halloween Apocalypse'

Lupari warrior Karvanista valiantly confronted the Flux – and in some cases, the Doctor – with his trusty axe at his side at all times. Capable of firing powerful beam blasts, this foldable Lupari axe has several ‘modes’ depending on its use.

As weapon props in particular are used a bit more actively, several different versions of this prop were created for use onscreen, made from a combination of resin and foam. The auction offers two separate lots of Lupari axes – one set of three and one of four – several of which have some light-up functionality on the blades.

Karvanista’s axe also recently made an appearance as the Prop of the Month in the latest episode of The Whoniverse Show, and a similar Lupari axe sits safely in the Black Archive for further study…

Tenth Doctor fans will remember the nifty orange spacesuit and its accompanying yellow helmet he picked up in 2006’s The Satan Pit. Apparently the Doctor loved this suit so much that they kept a version of it around the TARDIS for several regenerations’ worth of space adventures!

This particular helmet, made of resin and rubber with some light-up functionality, belonged to Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor, from her final outing in 2022’s The Power of the Doctor. The centenary special opens with the Doctor, Yaz and Dan (all in matching suits) as they embark on a thrilling rescue of a Tojari space train under invasion from the deadly CyberMasters
