Lenny Rush on playing UNIT Scientific Advisor Morris Gibbons:
“I don’t think you can get cooler than this. I’ve never played a character like Morris before. I’m really enjoying the sci-fi. And I’m a big fan of comedy, and there are a few funny lines that Russell has put in for me. I do a lot of improv, but not on this or they’d kill me. I’m just so happy to be part of it. Very, very happy. I mean, even if you haven’t watched Doctor Who, everyone knows what it is.
“I started watching it as soon as I was cast. It’s really good. I started from Russell’s revival [the 2005 season] – so Christopher Eccleston’s Doctor – so hopefully I’ll have caught up by the time this goes out. I’m okay watching myself. I just don’t like my voice. My voice gets on my nerves! But I’ve got to watch it. It’s Doctor Who.”
