The global simulcast audience for the Twelfth Doctor's live unveiling has grown to include Australia and Canada.
In a special one-off television event on Sunday 4 August at 7pm (BST), the next Doctor will be exclusively revealed to the UK live on BBC One.
We can also exclusively confirm that Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor will be simulcast in the following territories:
Australia
ABC 1 at 4am EST (August 5)
Canada
Space at 2pm ET
United States
BBC America at 2pm ET
The half hour show will include live special guests, Doctors old and new, as well as companions and celebrity fans. Excitement will reach fever pitch as they speculate and recall their favourites, plus feature clips and moments from across the show's 50 year history.
Widely regarded as one of the most hotly contested roles in British television, host Zoe Ball will unveil the Twelfth Doctor in their first ever interview in front of a live studio audience.
