Resolution | Revolution of the Daleks |
The Reconnaissance Dalek might have been the very first to ever come to Earth, landing way back in the Ninth Century.
After a long deadly battle with the humans, the Dalek was defeated. Its casing destroyed, the creature inside was cut into three pieces so it could never reform. Two were successfully transported across the globe and guarded by the Order of the Custodians. But one piece was left behind. It stayed in Sheffield, where it was found twelve centuries later by archaeologists Lin and Mitch, who accidentally awoke it!
On New Year’s Day in 2019, the Thirteenth Doctor and her friends set out to track down the reassembled mutant. It was a squid-like creature without its casing, so surely it couldn't travel far on its own. But as it turned out, it could hitch a ride on humans, possessing Lin and using her body to build a new casing from spare parts and bits of its original outer shell!
The Doctor had faced Daleks before and was well-equipped to face this one. One thing the Daleks never seem to learn – if you can’t stand the heat, keep out of the kitchen!
