Peter Capaldi (The Doctor)

Peter Capaldi is an award winning actor, film maker and lifelong Doctor Who fan. Before securing the coveted lead role, Peter appeared in Doctor Who in 2008, playing Caecilius in the episode The Fires of Pompeii. It is his role as government spin doctor Malcolm Tucker in the BBC comedy series, The Thick of It, that has earned Peter both international and award success. In 2010 he won the BAFTA Television Award for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Role and the BPG Best Actor Award. A film spin-off from The Thick of It, entitled In the Loop, was released in 2009. In 2013 Peter was seen on screen in the film World War Z, and BBC Two drama series The Hour, for which he was BAFTA nominated. Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald)

Born in Blackpool, Lancashire, Jenna Coleman played Jasmine Thomas in soap opera Emmerdale for four years, before taking on roles in Waterloo Road, the Marvel feature film Captain America: The First Avenger, the 2012 miniseries’ Titanic and Room at the Top. In 2013 she appeared in the BBC Two series Dancing on the Edge. She joined Doctor Who in 2012, appearing first in Asylum of the Daleks and 2012 Christmas special The Snowmen, before becoming the Doctor's regular companion. Find out more about Clara Oswald »

Steven Moffat* (Lead writer & executive producer)

After winning BAFTA and Hugo awards for his episodes of Doctor Who, Steven took over as lead writer and executive producer in 2010, when Matt Smith was introduced as the Eleventh Doctor. Creator of the BAFTA award winning Press Gang, Coupling and Jekyll (Hartswood/BBC). Steven’s most recent series, the hugely acclaimed modern day Sherlock, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, was co-created and written with Doctor Who writer Mark Gatiss (Hartswood/BBC).

*Due to production commitments, Steven Moffat will be unable to attend to the entire tour. The cities he will join the tour for will be announced soon.
