Doctor Who makes a spectacular return to the big screen in the feature-length premiere episode of Series 8; Deep Breath.

31 JULY UPDATE

  • UK cinema chains Odeon, Empire, Cineworld, Vue, Omniplex and Picture House to show Deep Breath on August 23. Tickets on sale from 11am Friday 1 August.
  • US cinemas to show Deep Breath in conjunction with Fathom Events on August 25, tickets on sale now. There will be a limited release on August 23 - details to follow.
  • Australian & New Zealand cinemas are on sale now for showings on August 24.

Directed by acclaimed director Ben Wheatley (Sightseers, A Field in England) and written by lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, the beginning of the Twelfth Doctor’s era stars Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, Jenna Coleman as his companion Clara Oswald and sees the return of fan favourites the Paternoster Gang - Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart) and Strax (Dan Starkey) – in a pulse-racing adventure through Victorian London.

    Tickets will go on sale shortly (this is dependent on individual cinemas). Please keep checking this page to find out which cinemas are participating near you. Tickets will then be available directly from that specific cinema or chain.

    No (but it will still look incredible on the big screen!)

  4. Will I get to see anything extra in the cinema?

    Yes, there will be additional content in cinemas, which will also be made available at a later date.

  5. Can I dress up?

    Yes! Grab your Fez, dust off your TARDIS dress and come dressed in your Doctor Who finery – although please do not wear masks or bring any props that resemble weapons. You may not be allowed entry into the cinema.
