  3. Is this the same event as the Doctor Who Proms? What will be different?

The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular was inspired by the 2010 Doctor Who Prom, but it is not the same show as performed at any of the Proms.

The version of the show performed on the 2015 UK Tour will include some of the music performed at previous Doctor Who Proms and the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular shows performed in Australia and in New Zealand in 2012 and 2014. It will also include a very considerable amount of material not performed at any of the previous shows, both from the first adventures of the Twelfth Doctor (which broadcasts on 23 August 2014) and from previous incarnations

  4. Which orchestra will you be using for the 2015 UK tour?

We’re very excited to have the BBC’s National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales on board to perform for the debut UK tour.

  5. Who will present the shows forming part of the 2015 UK Tour? Will the current Doctor be making an appearance?

The guest presenter of the shows will be announced in early 2015. The current Doctor will not be making an appearance.

  6. Which monsters will be appearing?

The show features a host of the Doctor’s famous adversaries including the iconic Daleks, the awe-inspiring Cybermen and the spine-chilling Silence and many more.

  7. Will you be adding more tour dates? Will you be visiting more UK cities?

The current tour will take in six cities and twelve performances – no further dates or performances are currently planned. We hope that the show will visit other cities in the future.

  8. Will you be visiting other countries?

Doctor Who has a large global fanbase and we hope to be able to announce further shows in due course.

  9. Will event merchandise be available?

Two specific exclusive event merchandise packs will be available to buy as pre-orders online alongside ticket purchases made through the doctorwhosymphonicspectacular.com website.

Customers who are disabled and purchase tickets from the Venues shall be given the opportunity to buy merchandise during both the pre-sale and general public sale.

General ticket purchasers who buy tickets from venue box offices will not be able to buy merchandise at the time that they purchase their tickets, but will be offered the chance to buy items online at a later date. The tour producers will make direct contact with customers who buy tickets from the venue box offices, using the information provided during the ticket booking process UNLESS the customer states that they do not wish to be contacted for this purpose.

Additionally, exclusive event merchandise will also be sold on site the venues during the actual performances.
