Before your visit

Free teacher planning visits
Make sure you and your students get the most out of the Doctor Who Experience by using the free teacher recce visit. Once you have booked, please contact our on site events team on 0844 801 3663 to arrange a recce visit so that you can come and look round the venue and plan your day.

Risk assessment
A completed risk assessment for the Experience is available. The risk assessment includes lots of useful information to help answer your safety questions before your visit.

Travel
You can find instructions on getting to us from our Travel section. For school groups travelling by coach, there is a drop off point and local parking. Every school party will be provided with a timed entry. To get the group through swiftly, every child should have their own ticket.

On the day of your visit

Dedicated school room
There is a dedicated school room which can be used to eat lunch. Unfortunately bags and belongings cannot be left or stored in these rooms. The school room must be booked in advance if you require it.

Lunch facilities
There is a cafe at the venue, serving a variety of hot and cold meals and drinks. Eating areas are provided if you choose to bring packed lunches instead.

Length of visit
The Doctor Who Experience is in two parts. On arrival you will enter straight into the interactive adventure which lasts approximately 30 minutes, before entering the behind the scenes free-flow exhibition which you can explore for between 60 and 90 minutes. Please keep your bags with you at all times.

We can provide you with a free Doctor Who Experience Education Toolkit, in pdf format. Our Toolkits are packed with activities and resources to inspire learning back in the classroom. Developed by practising teachers to deliver the Key Stage 2 and 3 curriculums, the packs are supported by inspirational imagery from the Doctor Who Experience and TV series.
