The Official Companion Guide
Make sure you pick up your copy of the Official Companion Guide! With lots of information about the props, costumes and behind-the-scenes, it makes a great memento and can be referred to during your visit through the Exhibition Hall. You can purchase the Official Companion Guide on arrival at the box office for £7.00.
You and the TARDIS
With the use of green screen technology make sure you have your photo taken on one of the many TARDIS sets. We'll even provide you with a few props to help create your memorable moment!
The Official Doctor Who Shop
When you’re at the Experience, take a visit to the world’s only Official Doctor Who Shop. It includes exclusives Doctor Who products and the perfect gifts for the Whovian in your life.
Doctor Who Experience exclusive Merchandise Ticket packages have now sold out and are therefore (as of 20/07/2017) no longer available to purchase. Please note that existing Merchandise Pack ticket holders are unaffected and will be able to redeem their packs onsite during their visit. Tickets page here.
There is a free cloakroom for pushchairs and buggies as these cannot be taken through the interactive adventure. Please note that items are left at the owner's risk.
What else is there to do in Cardiff?
Whilst you’re down in Cardiff, there is so much to do and see:
Situated across the bay from the Doctor Who Experience, Mermaid Quay is the perfect place for dining out, grabbing a snack or relaxing over a drink in one of the 30+ restaurants, bars and cafes. With cuisine from around the world – from Welsh ice cream to Turkish meze, Japanese sushi to American burgers and Italian stone-baked pizza – Mermaid Quay is somewhere that caters for all tastes, moods and pockets. Wales Millennium Centre
Staying within the bay is the Wales Millennium Centre. Opened in 2004 the Wales Millennium Centre has already established its reputation as one of the world`s iconic arts and cultural destinations. Visitors can enjoy blockbuster West End musicals to art exhibitions. You also might also recognise the exterior from a couple of Doctor Who and Torchwood episodes.
After your adventure in science fiction at the Doctor Who Experience, why not delve into science ‘fact’ at Techniquest? Situated across the bay from the Doctor Who Experience, Techniquest is a hands-on interactive science discovery centre in the heart of Cardiff Bay. With more than 120 mind-boggling exhibits, spectacular Science Theatre and Planetarium shows for all the family at weekends and during school holidays, it’s a great place to visit after your time at the Doctor Who Experience.
Cardiff Castle, in the centre of the City, has been a popular filming location for Doctor Who, The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood. With 2,000 years of history and fairy tale towers step inside the Castle for a memorable visit. City Sightseeing bus
The City Sightseeing tour is a convenient and enjoyable way to experience what this city has to offer. With a choice of either a live guide, or multi-lingual commentary available in 7 different languages, hop off at sites including the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Castle, National Museum of Wales, Cardiff Barrage and the Doctor Who Experience. With the Doctor Who Experience situated on the Bay, why not take a tour on the boat? Princess Katherine boat tours run a regular river service between Cardiff Bay and the City Centre, soak in the atmosphere and view the beautiful scenery.
